On 11 July 2025 made submissions opposing the application by the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees' Association (SDA) to vary the minimum rates of pay for junior employees in three awards. The three awards are the Fast Food Industry Award 2020, the General Retail Industry Award 2020 and the Pharmacy Industry Award 2020. The variations are not necessary to meet the "modern awards objective", do not give effect to the "minimum wages objective" and it is plainly not necessary to consider them "outside the system of annual wage reviews." These submissions respond to the SDA's application dated 6 June 2024, its Outline of Submissions dated 6 November 2024 and its associated evidential materials filed that same day.
