This 2-hour instructor-led online course is designed for individuals responsible for creating a Cyber Incident Response Plan for their organisation.
This session develops the foundations for each of the critical stages of a major cyber incident—key activities before, during and after an event.
For the preparation stage, this course will spend time exploring Cyber Playbooks and how they can make an enormous difference in how an incident unfolds and is managed. Tips and techniques are provided.
The main Incident Response (IR) plan part of the course will focus on the key roles and responsibilities of the IR Team members. This includes guidance and tips for when the pressure is greatest, particularly around effective communication to stakeholders.
And finally, the post-incident activities are explored. These are critical in ensuring threat actors remain locked out of the environment, systems are secure, breached data is managed, and staff can resume their normal roles.
Attendees can expect to leave this workshop with a good understanding of effective cyber incident response management, together with checklists and plans that can be completed to become their own organisation’s Cyber Incident Response Plan.
